Make Tax Time Pay

Free tax filing supports for Edmontonians

UPDATE - March 25

Effective April 1, all Tax Clinic locations will be shifting to walk-in appointments only. There will be no appointments booked at our Tax Clinics.

What does this mean for you?

  • Arrive early. Tax filing will be done on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Arrive prepared. Be familiar with the list of documents you’ll need to file your taxes.
  • Bring snacks or water in the event of a longer wait time.
  • Be patient. We understand that wait times can be frustrating, but our volunteers are working hard to serve you. Please treat them with courtesy and respect.

Please note that the last tax filing session will begin 30-minutes before the close of the clinic. For example, if the clinic closes at 8 PM, the final tax session will be at 7:30 PM.

What is MTTP?

e4c’s Make Tax Time Pay program offers free, safe and confidential tax filing services to help you get your taxes done.

Why do your taxes?

Filing your taxes every year is important to ensure that you are receiving all of the government benefits and subsidies you’re eligible for.

Even if you’re not working, or do not have an income, it’s important that you file your taxes.

Is Make Tax Time Pay Right for You?

  • You were not self employed
  • You did not receive rental income
  • You did not declare bankruptcy
  • You received one of the following documents for tax filing, or did not have an income (no tax slips)

Since 2005, the Make Tax Time Pay program has supported low-income Edmontonians to increase their income through accessible, free tax filing appointments, and assisting people to apply for available benefits and subsidies. Make Tax Time Pay clinics also provide financial education information and opportunities, including connections to other Financial Empowerment initiatives.

Make Tax Time Pay (MTTP) is a FREE program available in Edmonton and the surrounding areas for those with low to moderate income.
